August CUFS Reports August CUFS reports contain carryforward dollars for all rotaries, study abroad rotaries, research incentive, and capital improvement accounts. Rotary carryforward was loaded into object codes 7990 and 7999 this year. Please verify that the balances are correct.
Payroll Beginning with fall quarter, student fellowships (payment for which no work effort is expected) will not be paid through Payroll, but will instead be paid by Student Disbursement in Chubb Hall. If you have any questions, please contact John Goodwin via email at goodwin@ohio.edu

Enterprise Project Update

Over the past several months, the Enterprise Project team has been working on designing and setting up the new financial system. Oracle is set to Go-Live on January 1, 2003.A piece of the overall design of the system is a new chart of accounts structure. The account code structure is an integral part of the system. It allows the modules and interfaces to “talk” to each other, aids in report design and distribution, and, most importantly, allows the University to properly classify and report its revenue and expenses.

Plans are to start introducing the new structure to the campus in October. There will be overview sessions that will explain each of the segments and how old account numbers are translated into new ones. At this time we would simply like to give you a preview of it so you can start thinking about how this change will affect your department.

University-wide Financial Meetings

The University-wide Financial Meetings will not be held over the summer months. Plans are to resume these monthly meetings in the fall (October). Details will follow in the next issue of BU$INE$$ MATTER$.
